Here I take an outsiders look at how to improve the independent Kansas City Wizards Supporters Group, The Cauldron. Again the intent is to motivate leadership of The Cauldron to push to become the best Supporters Group in the league. Something More Important Than The Wizards

There will be no Wizards news for the first few days this week, everyone is off spending time with family. I thought I’d take this time to mention what this break in the year is about. Until recently I would have thought most would immediately give the answer,  it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Now I am not sure, I have noticed that increasingly it being redefined to be about family.

Jimmy Conrad’s Family

Someone sent in a link to an old blog post by a girl named Jen who attended the last World Cup in Germany. It was of interest to me because it included pictures of some of Jimmy Conrad’s family. So while this post is not a story about a player’s cousin’s bar mitzvahs (sorry AJF) it does let you see some of the important people in one of our star player’s life. Good Times…

FC Dallas has on official fan club organization. You join it and get a T-shirt, big photo of team and favorite player, the best part however is the two free tickets to certain away games. I choose the Wizards/FCD game in may for my tickets. I took the weird looking guy on the left (whose name I wont’ mention) with me. He is a big Wizards fan, at the time I was not. I wore my FCD jersey and as we walked in the stadium the guy on the left kept telling me how I was going to be beat up wearing that thing into the game, all the while laughing and teasing.
