You can probably guess by his hair that he is from Cali, specifically Thousand Oaks, CA. While he is an unexpected pick this high in the draft Myers has been in the eyes of U.S. National team for some time now having played for both the U-18 and U-20 teams. Surprise Number 1 Pick?

From College to the Pros is a great blog dealing with players coming up the college ranks and turning pro. They did a full 4 round mock draft earlier today, not many sites will actually do that. The big rumor from the blog right now is that the Wizards could make a surprise selection with the number 1 pick tomorrow, Tony Beltran. Beltran, a midfielder, did not compete at the combine this past week due to injury, but he was a starter on the U-20 team this past summer that made it to the quarterfinals. Would make for a lot of interesting talk if KC were to take him.

Worst Highlight Video Ever

In preparation of the Draft Friday at 1 p.m. Central time MLSnet has put together highlight film of the predicted first round guys. One video is for Patrick Nyarko, the forward out of VT that we are expected to pick. Follow the link and check it out, don’t judge Nyarko by this alone. By highlight reels alone Eric Avila, Midfielder out of Santa looks better, video here.
