Gonna be a brief one, but I’ll try to follow-up on Monday with results to make up for it.
- Chris Konopka was not available in the Bohemians’ opener last Friday, a 1-0 win over Galway United, because he had not received official international clearance. That came on Wednesday this week and he was on the bench in today’s 1-0 loss to St. Patrick’s Athletic. The Dublin derby saw three red cards in the final 15 minutes, culminating in a 22-player brawl. As for Chris, he was featured on The Offside Rules this week for this article in his hometown paper, the Asbury Park Express.
- Will John came on in the 32nd minute of a 2-1 loss to Brondby FC in the Danish Cup quarterfinals last Sunday. Randers FC was eliminated with the loss, but face Brondby again on Sunday in league action. Will is on the match roster.
- Josh Wolff saw his first action in three games, coming on at halftime in a 0-0 tie versus St. Pauli on Monday. They next play host to 2nd place Mainz on Sunday.
- Eddie Johnson made his second consecutive start for Fulham, this time in a 1-1 tie against Blackburn. He played the full 90 and despite being chastised by the commentator for much of the match, hit the post and drew the freekick that led to the equalizer. Fulham is home to Everton on Sunday (live at 8:30 am on Setanta).
