Jimmy Conrad Called Up

US Soccer announced this afternoon the 21-player roster for the February 6th friendly vs. Mexico in Houston.  Our very own Jimmy Conrad will once again don the USMNT uni, as one of eight defenders selected.  Full press release here.

Almost a year ago to the day, Conrad scored his first and only international goal against Mexico — a header off of a Landon Donovan corner kick that proved to be the gamewinner in the USA’s 2-0 victory in Glendale, Arizona. The picture above is of him celebrating that goal.

Here’s to hoping another meeting with Mexico produces another strong showing from the groin — and of course, a blog post or two

  1. Not surprised. Jimmy is a world level defender, no doubt in my mind.

  2. jimmy was not called in for the game against mexico. bob bradley has got his head up his butt. jimmy has got the caps and poise for the big games. so i hope the fire bradley before qualifying for world cup begins. he sucks ,he’s a humorless turd.
