I think the only way the Wizards fail to make the playoffs is if they lose, New York wins or ties and DC wins. If Kansas City is misplaced by only one of the Eastern Conference teams (if they tie, New York wins and DC does not win by at least three goals for example) they make the playoffs as a Western Conference team (behind either Real Salt Lake or Colorado depending on the outcome of their game).
